Mission
SMCC is committed to helping our students achieve their educational goals in obtaining their high school equivalency diploma. This will change their lives forever and put them on the path to a new career, college, or to advance in their current job. We help our students develop critical thinking skills and self-confidence that will help them achieve great things. Our career navigator is dedicated to helping our learners plan for their future and help them deal with challenges as they follow through to their dreams. Smart Start helps our students learn and practice good work habits and the effective communications skills they need to secure meaningful employment. We value our relationships with our students and want to help them reach their fullest potential.
We Provide:
- Free Adult Education day and night classes to prepare students for GED
- Free Smart Start instruction so that student may obtain Smart Start Certificate and Credential
- Free Integrated Education Training (Forklift, Northstar, etc) opportunities
- Free Transitional guidance with the SMCC enrollment process

- Mississippi Resident
- State Issued ID
- 16-17 year olds must have a withdrawal form from previous high school. Parent/guardian must be present at orientation to sign consent forms.

- Registration Only – July 8th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- July 9th and 10th – Testing on both days from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
SMCC Day Class

- New Students – July 9th and 10th from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. both days (under 18 years of age needs to come at 12:00 p.m. with a guardian/parent and a high school drop letter)
